WORKOUT OF THE DAY: Day-to-day announcements about the gym, information about specific classes, and of course, programming for each day! The programming is usually post at or before 7am on the day of the class. We try to create unique programming to help better all of our athletes. There is a method to each week of programming and all the coaches have worked hard to give you the best workouts possible.
STRENGTH DAY: Hitting a WOD is great, but how do we get better, stronger, and more efficient doing it? Athletes need to focus on their skills. CrossFit Toms River programs strength based days every 7-10 days. This will allow the athlete to take the time to focus on building proper form and working towards their 5, 3, and 1 rep max. This will allow them to truly gauge progress on their lifts and allow them to get stronger.
TRAVEL WORKOUTS: Whether you’re on your way overseas or you’re stuck home in the rain we think you should be able to train! These workouts were specifically named after CFTRers or completed by Coaches during their time away from CFTR. If you complete one while you’re away – take a picture! We’ll always post it! If you ever need a little help planning for time away from CFTR for any reason, feel free to contact us for training advice at info@crossfittomsriver.com.
WORKOUT LOGS: As athletes we ask that you keep an accurate log, notebook or journal of all your workouts and 1RM. This will help you and all of our coaches when working on different strength movements, repeating a workout from a couple months ago (Fran, Grace, etc.) or just looking at progress made over the course of a few months. Please feel free to keep your notebook with you or leave it in a cubby at the box.
